JEFF Zucker has served as the president of CNN Worldwide since January 2013, following Jim Walton's departure.

Born April 9, 1965, Zucker, 56, is known as an American media executive.
Prior to his role at CNN, Zucker served as the president and CEO of NBCUniversal.
Zucker joined NBC News as a field producer in 1989 and was later named the executive producer of Today in January 1992 at the age of 26 before becoming president in 2000.
Along with being the president of CNN, Zucker was also named Chairman of WarnerMedia News and Sports in March 2019.
Zucker is a 1986 Harvard College graduate and outside of media, he also served as an executive in residence at Columbia Business School.

Why did he resign?
It was revealed that Zucker put in his resignation due to a relationship that he had with one of his "closest colleagues."
"As part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo's tenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have working with for more than 20 years," Zucker wrote in a statement.
"I acknowledged the relationship evolved in recent years. I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn't. I was wrong."
"As a result, I am resigning today," he continued. "I came to CNN on January 28, 2013. Together, we had nine great years. I certainly wish my tenure here had ended differently. But it was an amazing run. And I loved every minute."
Zucker later went on to thank the CNN and Turner Sports employees.
The woman in question was Allison Gollust, CNN's executive vice president and chief marketing officer. She is said to be remaining at CNN.
"Jeff and I have been close friends and professional partners for over 20 years," Gollust said in a separate statement.
"Recently, our relationship changed during Covid. I regret that we didn’t disclose it at the right time. I’m incredibly proud of my time at CNN and look forward to continuing the great work we do every day."
Is Jeff Zucker married?
In 1996, Zucker tied the knot with Caryn Zucker at The Pierre Hotel in New York City.
Over the years, the couple welcomed four children together.
Despite a seemingly happy marriage, the couple announced in 2018 that they had decided to part ways.
“Together, we have made the difficult decision to separate, but do so as friends committed to our kids. They remain our sole focus," the former couple said in a statement to Page Six.
At the time, a source told the media outlet that "things [had] been bad for 10 years, but they have now accepted their marriage is over, and he has moved out of their apartment.”
