What is Thank You Day?

SIMILAR to the American concept of Thanksgiving, Thank You Day is a day to share appreciation for those around you.

Ex-footballer Gary Lineker is urging people across the UK to throw thank you parties in honour of the Platinum Jubilee.

What is Thank You Day?

The concept of Thank You Day became popular in 2021, to thank the unsung heroes of the pandemic.

The idea is that you raise a toast and celebrate whoever or whatever there is to give thanks for that year.

In 2022, Thank You Day will celebrate the Queen, 96, and her achievements.

The day is backed by a number of celebrities including ex-footballer Gary Lineker, Bake Off judge Prue Leith, actor Ross Kemp and telly favourite Lorraine Kelly.
