Viscount, 54, 'booted 19-year-old model lover half-naked into street in row over kitchen tongs'

Brer Ruthven, 54, who is Viscount Ruthven of Canberra, was in a relationship with model Lola Tyrrell, 19, for several months before they split.

The aristocrat was so furious about her using the tongs that he stuffed her clothes in a suitcase and threw her partially dressed out of his Chelsea home, Westminster Magistrates heard.

Prosecutor Katie Bryan told the court: “At the time of the incident the complainant and the defendant were in a relationship together but were in the process of separating.

“They had known each other since January.

“There was an argument at the defendant’s home address about a pair of tongs the complainant wanted to use while making dinner and the defendant did not want her to use them because they were new.

“He got a suitcase and placed some of her belongings inside. He wanted her to take them to her own address.

“The argument continued between the couple. He told her she had a “s***” attitude.

“He continued to shout at her. He picked her up with one arm between her legs and one round her body then threw her out into the street.”

The court was told Ms Tyrrell was only partly dressed and knocked on the kitchen window wanting to be let in to retrieve her clothes and mobile phone.

Cops were called to the posh Kensington address and Ruthven told them he had dragged his ex-lover out of the house but had not hurt her.

Ms Tyrrell told police:”‘I did not know what he was capable of. He belittled me, and he made me feel very scared.”

The aristo's dad, Alexander Ruthven, 2nd Earl of Gowrie, served as a Conservative arts minister under Margaret Thatcher.

Ruthven, of Chelsea, West London, denied assault and was granted bail ahead of trial at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on 4 October.

He was told not to contact Ms Tyrrell directly or indirectly including on social media, by Magistrate Joanne Varley.
