A MAN has been dubbed the UK’s “cheeriest delivery driver” after a customer's security camera caught him singing and dancing as he dropped off a Christmas package.
The DPD delivery man used the package as a drum, tapping it while dancing up the driveway and singing a song he seemed to have written himself.
He sang "What a lovely Sunday morning, Christmas time, Sunday morning Christmas time" with no idea that his impromptu concert had been caught on tape by a customer's smart doorbell's security camera.
Gemma Mc Pherson, of Bexleyheath in London, was expecting a pair of trainers to be delivered when her day was brightened up by the festive courier.
The mum then posted the clip on a local Facebook group to spread the joy saying: "Our DPD delivery driver today. So cheery and festive… will make you smile!"
And it turned out Gemma wasn't the only one to spot his festive cheer, with other locals flooding in with comments saying they had experienced the same.
One said: "I saw him the same day. He was singing Christmas songs on my road and saying 'Merry Christmas' to anyone that walked past. It was so cute."
While another added: "Such a happy guy, he delivered to me yesterday and was singing away bless him."
And a third said: "He delivered to our road last week and was doing the same."
Now the Bexleyheath community is calling for DPD to make the jolly worker 'Employee Of The month' after the clip amassed nearly 1,000 likes.
One commented: "Cheery fella. That's good to see. The bonus for me is that he rung your doorbell, waited and actually delivered the parcel to you…
"Hard to get that service these days. They usually throw it on your neighbours' roof!"
While another added: "He should be Employee Of The Month. He has to be the cheeriest delivery man in all of the UK!
"He really is looking like he enjoys his work. This is lovely. I wish there were more people like him in the world."
