Tupac was 'being secretly blackmailed by organised crime gang' in days before his death, FBI docs reveal

TUPAC Shakur was "being blackmailed by an organised crime group" just before he was gunned down in Las Vegas, official FBI documents reveal.

Files from the crime-busting organisation's vaults show he was among a string of mega-rich rappers being targeted with death threats by shady underworld figures.

Paperwork from 1997 – seen by The Sun Online – shows the Feds actively probed allegations the star was one of  "various rap music stars" being extorted.

The shocking claims were apparently made just FOUR DAYS after Tupac was shot – indicating a member of the his inside circle feared his assassination was linked to the threats.

Documents reveal the blackmail scam centred around a terrifying protection racket being run by an "organised crime" figure.

The paperwork states there were other "victims" but only names Tupac and fellow rapper Eazy-E from N.W.A.

Compton-born Eazy, real name Eric Wright, died of AIDS-related pneumonia on March 26, 1995 aged just 31.

However, some members of his family insist the 'Godfather of Gangsta Rap' was actually murdered.

The FBI documents state: "xxxxx and others yet unidentified, have been extorting money from various rap music stars via death threats.

"The scheme involves….subjects making telephonic death threats to the rap star. Subjects then intercede by contacting and offering protection for a 'fee'.

It adds a "source reported that ERIC WRIGHT was a victim prior to dying from AIDS" adding Tupac was also targeted "prior to his recent murder in Las Vegas, Nevada."

The news comes just days after it was revealed a a ghoul dressed as a hospital volunteer sneaked into the University Medical Center in Las Vegas to take  a photo of Tupac on his deathbed.

Tupac was in lockdown in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit when the snapper managed to breach his personal security to take the picture.

Days earlier he had been gunned down as he headed to a gig at Club 662.

Death Row Records boss Suge Knight was driving the car and Tupac was a front seat passenger as they led a convoy of cars.

A shooter in a white Cadillac, which pulled up on the right-hand passenger side of Tupac's BMW at traffic lights, opened fire at 11.15pm in a classic mafia-style hit.

Hours earlier Tupac and his entourage had watched boxer Mike Tyson fight Bruce Seldon at the MGM Grand casino.

In the lobby afterwards, Tupac and his crew – some of whom were associated with LA gang The Bloods – attacked Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson after Pac threw the first punch.

Tupac died of his wounds on Friday, September 13 but his murder has never been solved and is at the centre of dozens of conspiracy theories.
