Thomas Markle wants to heal rift with Meghan and see their baby – but could hire legal team to fight cause

The Duchess of Sussex’s father, 74, says the baby will have “Markle blood” as well as “blue blood”, according to reports.

Mexico-based Thomas may even force visiting rights by hiring a legal team, the Daily Mirror claim.

He has apparently asked help from the Palace and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

A source told the paper: “He strongly believes the baby should be as much a part of his life as they will be Prince Charles’s.

“Thomas says the Markle blood will be as much in the child’s veins as the ‘blue blood’ of the royals and he has ‘rights’.

"He admits mistakes but with Meghan pregnant, he is desperate to heal the rift.

"Thomas has reached out to Kensington Palace more so since news of Meghan’s pregnancy broke, hoping the baby will be what finally breaks their estrangement.”

Thomas wants to fly to London and meet Meghan and the Prince, 34, in person.

Previously he likened the Royal Family to Scientologists because of their “cult-like” secrecy.

Thomas, an Emmy-winning lighting director, has tried to encourage Meghan and her husband to contact him — after three months of silence.

They have not spoken since the day after the couple’s wedding at Windsor Castle.

He has offered to fly to the UK if he can sit down with Megha, 37 and Harry, 34, when they are back from their South Pacific tour.

Yesterday, Meghan's half-sister has claimed the Duchess lied about paying her own university fees.

Bitter Samantha Markle claimed pregnant Meghan was "delusionally absurd".

Her comments came as the Duchess of Sussex told a crowd in Fiji she had used scholarships and financial aid programmes to pay her way through.
