Terrifying moment Brit holidaymakers run for their lives as huge fire rips through Magaluf hotel room

TERRIFYING footage shows an apartment at a resort hotel popular with British holidaymakers bursting into flames.

The clip shows a room at the BH Mallorca hotel, in Magaluf, engulfed in fire as tourists scream for others to “get out.”

Huge flames are seen growing rapidly as people rush from their rooms in panicked scenes.

Thick black smoke is also seen billowing out of the apartment.

One man is seen leaving the room directly below the troubled flat prompting screams from others watching for him to leave the area.

It is not know how the fire started while several people reportedly needed treatment for smoke inhalation.



Seven people were rescued by firefighters.

Brit customer Hazel Bromiley, from Chorley, Lancashire, tweeted: "Literally in shock that this happened at our hotel # bhmallorca."

Another video clip taken from the beach area shows how the black smoke could be seen billowing into the sky from further away.

The hotel is located in the Avenida de las Palmeras area of the town in Mallorca which is infamous for its raucous party scene.

Local police are investigating the cause of the blaze.

In 2016, the hotel made headlines when three British men were filmed being beaten by staff.
