The Swedish Royal family hosted a glamorous gala dinner at the royal family’s palace to thank their subjects for contributions to Swedish society.
King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted the annual event at Stockholm Palace, or the Royal Palace as it is also known, which is the official residence of the Swedish monarch.
The Sweden Royal Dinner was to recognise people who made a contribution to the local, regional or national levels of society.
Guests included representatives from the diplomatic corps, the Riksdagn parliament, the Swedish Government, local authorities, as well as many representative the Royal Family met on visits around the country.
The guests were received and greeted by the King and Queen, the Prince Couple and Prince Daniel in the Queen Lovisa Ulrika’s Dining Hall, with the dinner served in Vita Havet Assembly Rooms.
Previous diners have seen guests enjoying roasted Swedish hung fillet of beef, trout roe starters and Blackcurrant Bavarian cream desserts.
