London’s ride on the weather-coaster continues Friday with a special weather statement from Environment Canada.
The national weather service is calling for strong winds, with gusts up to 80 km/h at times.
The windy conditions should diminish as the day goes along, but the winds will be strong enough to cause minor tree damage and possibly some power outages, the agency said.
Friday will also be much colder than Thursday.
London unofficially set a record Thursday when the temperature rose to 11.1 C, breaking the record of 10.1 C set in 2017.
Friday’s high will be -5 C, but will feel like -17 C in the afternoon. The wind chill will make it feel like -22 C overnight.
