Shipwrecked ‘North Korean’ sailor washed ashore alive after storm destroys boat

Astonished beachgoers have been filmed helping after a shipwrecked North Korean sailor was washed ashore from the wreckage of a boat destroyed in a heavy storm.

They were stunned to find the man inside who had survived the storm.

The footage was taken in the village of Livadia in south-eastern Russia’s Primorsky Krai region.

He is said to be North Korean, but this could not be confirmed as he did not understand Russian.

Footage of his rescue was recorded on a smartphone by an onlooker and shows the shocked man being helped out of the destroyed marine vessel.

Two men are seen helping the rescued man to walk to the shore, while another one wearing a pair of swimming trunks is checking the inner part of the ship to see if any more people are inside.

On the beach another man dressed in military uniform is making some calls, and then towards the end of the video the man is seated on a plastic container and given a drink of water.
