Police warn the public not to approach a missing 12-year-old schoolboy who vanished before Christmas

  • Alfie Benson went missing from the Greater Manchester Area in December
  • He frequents shops in the Parrs Wood area of Didsbury and was seen this week
  • Police urged the public to call 999 if they see him instead of approaching the boy

The public have been advised not to approach Alfie Benson, 12, but to call 999 if they see him

The public should not approach missing 12-year-old Alfie Benson but dial 999 instead, Greater Manchester Police have warned.       

Alfie, who has been missing since before Christmas, was ‘seen within the last week’ in the Parrs Wood area of Didsbury, where he is known to visit local shops. 

GMP added that he is known to frequent Parrs Wood Rd, Parkville Rd, Wilmslow Rd and Parsonage Rd.  

The website Missing People says Alfie has been missing since December 19 and was last seen in Coniston, Cumbria. He also has links to Blackpool, Manchester and Clitheroe.

Twitter account @BreakingNAgency posted a photograph of Alfie alongside the appeal earlier this evening.
