A football player saved a photographer from plunging from the top of a double-decker bus after she was hit by a tree branch during the team’s promotion parade.
Quick-thinking Girona defender Arnau Martinez snapped into action when he saw the photographer danging from a safety rail by her legs.
The photographer – named as Nuri Margui – had been swept off the bus’s top floor by a tree branch.
But as she clung on for dear life, the 19-year-old star caught her and hauled her back onto the vehicle.
Martinez was not just the hero there. Last Saturday he also scored the 80th minute winner to promote his team Girona to the top tier of Spanish football.

Teammates Ramon Terrats and Gabri Martinez also lent a hand.
Girona – in the north-eastern Spanish region of Catalonia – had just sealed promotion to La Liga.
After a 0-0 first leg draw in Girona, the Catalan team faced play-off final rivals Tenerife at their home ground on June 19.
Despite Tenerife having home advantage for the decisive fixture, Girona triumphed 1-3 with Martinez netting the third goal in the 80th minute to seal promotion to the top flight.
The video was shared on Twitter by Pau Villafane Duran on June 21, where it went viral with more than 200,000 views.

The Girona fan said: ‘Arnau Martinez saving Nuri Margui.’
Martinez, born in Premia de Dalt in Catalonia, began his career with his local club before joining Barcelona’s famed La Masia at the age of seven.
He spent six years with the Catalan giants before switching to Hospitalet, leaving for Girona two years later. He broke into their first team in 2020 and has played 62 games for the club, contributing three goals and eight assists.
