A nurse killed in the First World War has finally been commemorated – after being ignored for 100 years because she was a woman. Margaret "Daisy" Fortescue was one of 14 nursing sisters working on a hospital ship when it was torpedoed by a German U-boat in 1918. 234 allied personnel were lost in the sinking
