Nurse cleared of stealing boxer’s $140G bag at 40/40 club

A pediatric nurse who was charged with stealing a boxer’s bag stuffed with $140,000 in jewels during a brawl at Jay Z’s 40/40 club has been cleared of the theft, prosecutors said Thursday.

Sarah Morin, 40, had faced grand larceny and possession of stolen property raps for the alleged theft of pugilist Jermell Charlo’s sack of valuables.

But assistant district attorney Maria Luna said Thursday that an investigation cleared her of criminal charges and that there was no evidence she pilfered the goods.

“After reviewing video from the club and interviewing witnesses and meeting with the defendant, it is undisputed that the defendant was given the bag to watch temporarily by an associate of the complaining witness,” Luna said in Manhattan Criminal Court.

She added that Morin had tried to return the blue Louis Vuitton bag stuffed with medallions, chains and a diamond-encrusted boxing glove charm, before cops contacted her.

But prosecutors stopped short of asking the judge to dismiss the case outright.

The felony charges were dropped in exchange for the Connecticut woman pleading to a disorderly conduct violation, which is not categorized as a crime. The violation will be sealed in one year.

“My name has been slandered,” said Morin, who sobbed when she left the courtroom. “This has been life-changing, life-altering.”

The nurse, who works with cancer-stricken children, said that the allegations cost her one of her jobs.

The trouble started March 3 when Morin and her gal pals were partying at the 40/40 club, and the light middleweight got into a fight with another patron.

His bodyguard handed her the bag and told her to run, according to her lawyer, Gerard Morrone.

Even though the nurse tried to return the bag hours later, she was arrested.
