Nigel Farage names Boris Johnson, Dominic Raab and Esther McVey as the three Tory hopefuls he could work with to deliver Brexit

NIGEL Farage has named Boris Johnson, Dominic Raab and Esther McVey as three Tory hopefuls he could work with to deliver Brexit.

But the Brexit Party boss warned he doesn't know if he can "trust" the trio because they all backed Theresa May's deal.

After his party romped to victory in the European elections last week, Mr Farage has demanded a seat at the negotiating table to help finally deliver Brexit.

The stunning results placed even more pressure on the next Prime Minister to threaten to walk away without a deal if necessary.

Asked by the Sun Online his thoughts on the leadership race and whether there was anyone he could work with, he name-checked current front-runner Boris, ex-Brexit secretary Raab and outsider candidate McVey.

But he stressed that the fact all of them voted for Theresa May’s “worst deal in history” meant there was an “issue of trust” there.

He said: "One of those three might surprise all of us and say what they are going to do. Let's see.

"But those who condemned it, and twice voted against it, then voted for it… the same people who buckled last time around say, ‘now make me Prime minister and we will leave the EU on 31 October’.

"There’s an issue of trust there."

All three of the Brexiteers have said they would be prepared to leave the EU without a deal on October 31.

Mr Farage hasn't heard from the leadership campaigns "directly" but some MPs have asked his opinions, he also revealed.

And he added: "It's really early days. We need to see a lot more meat on the bone."

One of them might surprise all of us and say what they are going to do. Let's see.

As he's not got a seat in Parliament, most Tory leadership candidates have refused to work with him.

But last night hopeful Rory Stewart admitted he had reached out to him.

Mr Raab has vowed to slash income tax, leave with No Deal if we can't change the backstop, and will fight for more employment rights for mums.

And Ms McVey wants to slash foreign aid and spend more money on police.

Boris has yet to officially join the leadership race but has said "of course" he will run – he has yet to outline his vision for the country since Mrs May quit.

Mr Farage hopes that a "proper Brexiteer wins" the contest but fears the party is so split that Britain is heading for another version of Mrs May that will deliver more fudge.

"It just doesn't work," he insisted. "The two main parties have frankly been deceiving us over the past few years, making a whole series of promises.

"The Brexit Party coming on the scene has been a breath of fresh air."

The next PM has to be a Brexiteer as not truly believing in leaving the EU was Mrs May's biggest mistake, he added.

"She was never cut out to be a leader.

"She was someone whose ambition was greater than their ability. She may be very capable in many other ways but leadership is a very special thing, and not many people have it. She's been crushed by it."

And the threat of a vote of no confidence bringing down the Government could even be the way to deliver a No Deal, he claimed.

There's a 50/50 chance of an election happening later this year too.

"If a leader was to put a constructive plan forward, if somehow parliament was to bring that leader down, in a general election, the country would support a leader who had that courage and had that bravery," he said.

"That would be the people vs the politicians, and the people would win. I have no doubt."
