An upstate New York teen secretly filmed himself having sex with a 16-year-old girl inside a high school locker room – and then posted the raunchy footage online, authorities said.
A 17-year-old student at Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School in Ravena was taken into custody Monday after a staffer told a school resource officer that the teen had posted a video of himself having sex with a female student in the boys’ locker room, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
The boy, who was not identified, made the recording without the girl’s consent and then posted footage of the encounter onto social media, deputies said.
He was taken into custody on two felony charges – promoting a sexual performance by a child and unlawful surveillance – as well as a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child.
The teen was later released to his parents and is scheduled to appear Tuesday in Albany County Family Court, sheriff officials said.
School administrators declined to comment when reached by The Post early Tuesday, referring inquiries to district officials. A message seeking additional comment from Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District Superintendent Brian Bailey was not immediately returned.
