Network Rail workers overwhelmingly accept company’s pay offer amid plunging public support for crippling Christmas strikes
Members of the TSSA at Network Rail have voted overwhelmingly to accept the company’s pay offer, the union announced.
The Transport Salaried Staffs’ Association had announced extra strike action during the Christmas holiday earlier this week.
Now 85 per cent of members, with a 70 per cent turnout, have agreed to terms over pay, job security and conditions – which is worth a minimum of a 9 to 11 per cent pay increase immediately.
TSSA members work as customer service managers, driver managers and trainers, and in control, customer communications, safety, timetabling and planning.
