A MUM has issued an urgent warning to parents after claiming to have discovered a “razor sharp” blade inside a chocolate egg.
The mum, known as @emilydrury1991 on TikTok, took to the social media site posting a video of what she says she found inside, captioning the post “Warning for Other Parents!!”
The footage starts with what looks like a thin metal blade as the mum says “razor sharp”.
She then continues to say: “Just bought Bella one of these eggs, like a Kinder egg but it’s not. Called BIP or something. Never heard of it, but Bella wanted it.”
Showing the toy that came with it, which she described as being “innocent enough” as it was a toy that just strapped onto a child’s wrist, but luckily the mum, before she put it on her daughter, noticed it was “broken”.
The mum then adds: “Look what was coming out of it,” as she reveals the metal blade inside the toy which she described as being “razor sharp”.

She then shows just how sharp it was by scraping the edge along her index finger on her left hand and removing the nail varnish.
“My God, it’s so sharp,” she added.
Continuing, she also appeared to demonstrate how “violently” it snapped round when she pulled it.
The video then showed the metal all curled up and she then proceeded to do the same with the other side.

As she demonstrates, she can be heard saying: “Imagine if it’s this side, and that would be the underside of their wrist… That would be snapping into their wrists.”
The TikTok video has picked up around 61,700 likes on the site and 830 comments.
One concern commentator wrote: “Yep, got my girl these once and I was putting toys in their toy bags and it got my arm. I got a deep cut from it 1 inch deep and 1 n half inch long.”
Another comment stated: “They have been the same thing in them for years, either this or actual tape measures.”
A third person added: “That’s in every snap band.”
Others though claimed “it’s not that sharp she’ll be fine.
Another wrote: “It’s not sharp or pointy though I think she’ll be alright for 2 mins until she’s bored.”
In a seemingly related video, the mum then appears to demonstrate just how sharp the blade is by using it to chop some carrots.
That video has picked up nearly 40,000 likes and 418 comments.
One TikTok user wrote: “OMG. I was literally going to say ‘it’s not that bad’ girl. I’m sorry.”
Another said: “Better than the knives I have in my house!”
