An embarrassed British tourist was pick-pocketed by a Thai transsexual woman while drunkenly walking through a red-light district.

The man, 49, from the North East of England, was strolling through the go-go bar strip of Pattaya, Thailand, at 3.30am on Sunday morning.

CCTV footage shows how a transsexual in hot pants and a revealing pink top approached him and put their hand down the front of his trousers.

Victim, from north east England, is seen pulling away when propositioned by the transsexual

The confused Brit, with one hand holding a cigarette, tried to pull away but the transsexual kept their hand on his private parts.

A second sex worker then approached him to offer sexual services. However, when the man returned to his hotel he noticed his wallet containing 20,000 Thai baht – the equivalent of £500 – was missing.

He contacted police who checked CCTV and identified the suspects as being ‘ladyboys’ – a term used widely in Asia to describe biologically male sex workers.

Officers are now hunting the pair over the alleged theft. Footage of the victim watching back the incident shows him asking ‘is it a boy or a girl?’ to which a police officer replies: ‘a boy.. a ladyboy’.

The victim then claims he had ’19 50 pound notes and 100 20 pound notes’ but the actual amount reported by police was 20,000 Thai baht that was stolen.

The Englishman then describes his ‘money bag’ and the amount he believes was stolen.

The man, 49, explains on a police video how much money had been taken from him on the strip

Pattaya City Police Chief Lieutenant Colonel Aphichai Krobtech said: ‘The victim complained to police that his wallet had been stolen. From the CCTV video it was clear that the suspect had put her hands in the victim’s trousers. This will be used as evidence.

‘This act is considered to seriously damage the image of Pattaya as a safe tourist resort. The two criminals will be traced and prosecuted.

‘It is the job of the police force to prevent this crime and increase the safety of tourists so that tourists are confident to visit here.’
