Moment car flies through the air after crashing into roundabout before takeaway staff pull driver from wreckage – The Sun

A DRIVER was dragged from the wreckage of his car after it hit a roundabout and was launched through the air.

The crash was so dramatic, those who ran from their houses to investigate assumed the motorist was dead.

In the footage, the Vauxhall Corsa hit the ramp and took off – before landing on it's roof in Normanton, Derbyshire.

Ishtaiq Hussain, owner of a nearby takeaway, said he and his staff rushed out to pull the driver from the wreckage.

The crash happened at 4am on Friday and one person was arrested for failing to provide a breath sample in relation to the incident.

Mr Hussain said: “It happened right in front of me. He came up to the roundabout and didn’t stop.

“We went out and pulled him from the car as it was on its roof.

“At the time, we thought he was dead. He wasn’t breathing.

“He pulled himself together after a few minutes and by that time an ambulance and the police had come.”

It's believed there was only one person in the car.

Mr Hussain, whose car was also hit in the incident said that if there had been passengers that they would have died.
