Manchester teen Yousef Makki was fatally stabbed on Saturday – just after a murder investigation was launched in London to probe the "senseless" attack on 17-year-old Jodie on Friday.
Their deaths took Britain’s knife murder toll to 21 in 62 days this year.
Police have arrested two teens on suspicion of murder after young Yousef's death, while suspects are still being hunted over the attack on Jodie.
But Jodie's mum Claire Gillham reached out to the grieving family of Yousef yesterday, paying tribute to the teen while she grappled with her own loss.
The mum wrote on social media: "RIP young man".
Straight-A student Yousef, said to be on a scholarship at elite £12,570-a-year Manchester Grammar School, died in Hale Barns following a row over a drug debt.
United stars Paul Pogba, Victor Lindelöf and Fred live in the upmarket Cheshire village, where houses fetch up to £5million.
Pals say Yousef dreamed of being a heart surgeon. A source said: “He got in with the wrong crowd. They fell out over weed. It’s such a waste.”

Devastated gran Debbie Chesney told friends: "We are all still trying to come to terms with it.
Tributes were today left where Jodie tragically lost her life, with boyfriend Eddie Coyle, who cradled her in his arms as she lay dying, leaving an emotional message to the young woman.
A card attached to railings yards from where they spent their last moments together reads: “Jodie you are the best thing that could have happened in my life. I will love you always and you will forever be in my heart beautiful.”
Met Police have appealed for anyone with information about Jodie's death to come forward, calling the HMCC Incident Room on 020 8345 3775, Tweet @MetCC or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Det Supt Phil Reade said Greater Manchester Police remain open- minded about the attack on Yousef.
It is not thought to be gang-related.
