Wanda Nara blasted for causing Icardi ‘disaster’ and told to get off social media by Italy legend Cassano

The Argentine striker has been stripped off the captaincy and frozen out of the squad following a series of bust-ups during his contract extension talks.

The couple were seen at San Siro watching Inter draw 3-3 with Sampdoria last month, with Icardi not playing for the Italians since February 9.

The 26-year-old striker is even thought to have refused to travel for an away Europa League clash against Rapid Vienna after the club announced goalkeeper Samir Handanovic would take over as captain.

Icardi has reportedly been estranged from his team-mates, with Nara publicly criticising Inter and their players for the treatment of her husband.

But former AC Milan and Real Madrid ace Cassano firmly pinned the blame for Icardi’s feud with the club on the 32-year-old model and her social media activity .

He said on Italian sports show Tiki Taka: “The person who created this disaster is her.

“She caused Icardi problems. She created this scorched earth around him. Let’s get this straight, you [Wanda] talk too much, you’re the coach, you use social media too much.

“If Inter took the armband from him, there’ll be a reason for it -Ausilo, Marotta, Spalletti and Zhang aren’t crazy.

“Then there’s another thing. First Mauro had no pain in his knee but did after they took the armband from him.

“I did theatrics when I was 21. If he doesn’t get back to playing, he’ll leave. It’s a situation of no return.

“The reality is that for four months, we’ve been talking about this situation because of the things Wanda has said.”

Icardi has demanded “respect” from Inter in a statement published on Instagram amid the contract row.

Meanwhile, Nara reportedly had her car window “smashed by a rock” as tensions continued to rise – with rumours claiming her antics have even put off Real Madrid.

Icardi has scored 15 goals in 28 games for Inter this season, but has failed to find the net in Serie A since December.
