‘I’ve never seen one that big’: Monster snake takes up the entire width of a road as it slowly slithers into the bush

A monster scrub python that took up the entire width of a road has stopped traffic as it slowly slithered into the bush.

The reptile, believed to be about five metres in length, was spotted at Holloways Beach, Queensland, about 6.10am on Friday.

Amber Campbell uploaded the footage to Facebook captioned, ‘Baronia Crescent had a big visitor heading into ‘mosquito park’ this morning, what a beauty!!’

Ms Campbell told Seven News that her husband Adam filmed the serpent.  

‘That is gigantic…I’ve never seen one that big…Easy five metres,’ Adam is heard saying. 

‘I go out looking for snakes all the time and I’ve seen them close to that, but that is monster,’ an onlooker said. 

‘It was as thick as my leg,’ Ms Campbell said.

She told the publication that the snake was going into a children’s playground that is surrounded by bushland.
