'I'm in prison and my 75-year-old sugar daddy gives me £100-a-week to spend on junk food – but I still won't have sex with him once I get out'

But the man opposite her isn't the 36-year-old's father, it's her sugar daddy, once a neighbour, who transfers her cash in exchange for companionship.

'He never says no when I ask for cash'

Awaiting trial for the home invasion, kidnap and assault of and old woman, Missy admits her time behind bars is made more pleasurable thanks to her 75-year-old admirer.

"I have an older man, around 40 years older than me, who I associate myself with – he's a sugar daddy – and he puts $150 on my books every week," she tells Channel 5 show, Banged Up.

Sugar daddys with prisoner girlfriends is not a new phenomenon, with many female jailbirds seeking them on Inmate Connection, a website connecting prisoners with pen pals.

Many incarcerated women like Missy are looking to spend money on prison commissary items like food, health products and cosmetics – and some even for drugs.

In the outside world, Missy lived next door to her sugar daddy, who she doesn't name, for five years.

In the past he had paid for things for her children, so when she moved to prison she said it was only natural for the pair to stay in touch.

"Ever since then he's been helping me," she continues. "And he's never said the word 'no'. If I tell him the sky is black and I need money to turn it purple, he will give it to me. He has a ton of money!"

'I don't do anything for him but he does things to me'

She explains that before she was put away their relationship was based on companionship and spending time together in return for the money.

"He just wants to walk around with eye candy on his arm so it works," says Missy.

But the Western Massachusetts prisoner, who could face up to 20 years for her crime, is adamant that their relationship is not an exchange for sex.

"We do kiss and that's not bad – but we don't have sex," she explains. "That's like doing it with my grandfather which is not good.

"I don't do anything to him but he sometimes does things to me. It is kind of weird having him do sexual favours to me but they are not really for me, it's more for him."

'I want to marry him – I'd be set for life'

Missy wants to get married to her sugar daddy, something she admits would mean she could live care-free for the rest of her life, collecting $4,000 a month in pension and a hefty social security cheque.

"That works for me," she laughs. "But I do love him and I tell him that, so if anything were to happen to him I'd be super sad… but I also think that I'd be set for life."

And the pair are already making plans for the future with Missy suggesting the pair buy a boat together on the show.

"I don't get sea sick but I can make you get sea sick," jokes her elderly lover.

Now waiting for her trial, Missy hopes she will only be sentenced to two years so she can return quickly to her three children – two sons aged 15 and four, and a newborn daughter – as well as her elderly friend.
