A pissed off shopper was caught on video going on a racist tirade after a Texas Macy’s employee started speaking Arabic.
The man became irate when the Dallas employee started speaking in Arabic with a colleague after explaining that the purse he intended to buy would need to be gift-wrapped in a different part of the store, Yahoo Lifestyle reported.
The video, which was captured by a bystander and shared on Twitter, begins with a female shopper in a striped sweater defending the employee and telling the cranky customer to leave the store.
“I don’t need to do sh-t,” he says and tells the manager to call security on the female shopper. “She’s interfering with my purchase,” the man says.
Another man, shocked by the scene at the store, asks if the incident was “some kind of TV show” playing out.
“Hey, I don’t speak Arabic. They were speaking Arabic,” the furious patron says.
He then calls the crowd of people around him “a bunch of Democrats.”
“Hey, I’m in America, I want people to speak English to me,” he says. “All I asked was for her to do was speak English.”
An employee eventually agrees to give the man a box for his purse as other customers mock him.
The flustered customer then shouts, “all the Arabs, all you Arabs and Democrats. Why don’t you go back to where you came from.”
A Macy’s spokesperson apologized for the incident and told Yahoo that they would be investigating.
