Girlfriend's heartbreaking tribute to young dad hacked to death with MACHETE in Wolverhampton

THE girlfriend of a young dad hacked to death with a machete in Wolverhampton has posted a heartbreaking tribute to him.

Paulius Petrasiunas died in the front garden of a block of flats in Wolverhampton on Monday afternoon, sparking a police manhunt for his killer.

The dead man's girlfriend, Taylaa Shakeishaa, posted a photo on Facebook of the couple with a broken heart emoji.

Officers are searching for a 20-year-old man named Sean Bulle in connection with the inicdent.

Paulius was in his early 20s, had a 13-month-old son and was originally from Lithuania, said heartbroken friends.

A friend urged Ms Shakeishaa to "stay strong" for her son, but she wrote: "It’s so hard."

'TOTAL SHOCK'

Her mum Patricia Brown posted she was in "total shock" following Paulius' death.

She added: "How can someone kill of a good dad."

A man told Mirror Online Paulius, known by his nickname Polo, and the alleged killer knew each other.

He said: "[Paulius] was quite a laid back, reserved person.

"He did live a kind of private life and didn't really get involved and mix with everyone.

"He was a genuine person and he was caring towards family and friends, and I don't have a bad word to say about him.

"He was always around if you needed anything and he was quite funny."

Detective Inspector Jim Mahon, leading the investigation, urged Bulle to "do the right thing" and come forward.

He said: "We’ve been working hard to establish what happened yesterday afternoon and are following up a number of lines of enquiry.

"We believe Bulle may have been involved and I’m asking for your help in tracing him.

"If anyone knows where he is or thinks they may have seen him, I’d urge them to our incident room on 101, extension 861 3026 immediately.

"Anyone who may be shielding him through a sense of misguided loyalty, should be aware that they are committing an offence and could be prosecuted.

"It’s vitally important that we speak to Bulle. My message to him, is to do the right thing and let us know where you are."

VIOLENT END

Officers were called at around 5.20 last night to reports of a man being attacked with a blade.

The victim was found bleeding in the front garden of the block of flats, and pronounced dead by medics.

One resident said: "I'd just been to the bins at the back of the flats when I heard awful blood curdling screams.

"It's normally loud around here…but this was different."

The neighbour added: "A friend of mine lives closer to where it happened and told me they heard someone shouting 'no no don't do it!'

"They probably heard the poor guy's final words."

Another neighbour, Mandy, said: "There are loads of rumours about it being a love triangle or a drug deal gone wrong.

"Either way a young fella is dead and there's a killer on the loose. It's pretty scary considering how many young families live round here."

Another resident living nearby told BirminghamLive: "Everyone on the street is shocked by this mindless violence and my thoughts go out to his family."

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We’ve launched a murder enquiry after a man was stabbed in a Wolverhampton street today (13 July).

"We received a 999 call just after 5.20pm reporting a man having been attached with a machete in Chervil Rise, Wolverhampton.

"The victim – who is believed to be in his 20s – was pronounced dead at the scene and we’ve cordoned off the area for a full forensic examination.

"It’s understood the offender ran off on foot and we’re now appealing for witnesses to get in touch.

"Anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened, or who saw a man running away, is asked to message us on Live Chat via our website or call 101 quoting log 3707 from 13 July."
