Girl who said she's too pretty for jail is spared jail for drink driving

A drunk driver who arrogantly declared that she was too ‘pretty’ to go to jail has avoided being sent to jail

Lauren Cutshaw was ordered to pay a $187 fine at a court hearing last month, and also got to keep her driver’s licence following the incident in Bluffton, North Carolina, in August 2018.

The real estate agent, 34, shot to fame after being pulled over and declaring: ‘I’m a very clean, thoroughbred, white girl…I’m a white, clean girl.’

Cutshaw, who claimed to have only drunk two glasses of wine, spoke of her fears about being jailed, saying: ‘I don’t wanna know what it’s like. I’m a pretty girl, please don’t make me go there.’

She even boasted about her ‘perfect grades’, graduation from a ‘high accredited university’, and previous stint as an ‘all-American cheerleader.’

Cutshaw’s attempts to charm the cop who pulled her over for speeding fell on deaf ears, with video footage showing him asking her ‘what that had to do with anything.’

But Cutshaw was undeterred, responding: ‘You’re a cop, you should know what that means…you should know based on people that come in this room.’

She is believed to have been referring to other, non-white people arrested by the same police department, according to The Smoking Gun.

Cutshaw struck a plea deal which saw her admit drunk driving in return for having charges of speeding, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia dropped.

She was found to have a blood alcohol content of .18 – more than double the .08 legal limit.

As part of her plea deal, Cutshaw must also complete South Carolina’s Alcohol and Drug Safety Program, which aims to rehabilitate drivers caught behind the wheel while drunk or high.
