Skateboarder Gary Pantoja Sosa, 18 – named after his father – lives with his mum Yudania Sosa Martinez on the Caribbean island.
Glitter – real name Paul Francis Gadd – is currently serving 16 years for attempted rape, unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under 13 and indecent assault.
He still bankrolls his unemployed skateboarder son with royalties he continues to earn from his music, a family friend told The Daily Mirror.
Glitter frequently visited Cuba in the 1990s, which was known as a notorious sex tourism destination back then.
His son, who shares the name Gary, is the result of a relationship with former farm girl Yudania.
Gary has never met his child molester father because Glitter was forced to flee Cuba before being born in February 2001 as dictator Fidel Castro cracked down on sex tourism.
However Glitter is said to have kept in touch making sure he and his mum are taken care of.
LIVING THE GOOD LIFE
Gary told The Mirror: "I’m in communication with my father but it’s a difficult subject for me and I’m not allowed to talk about it.
“Everything is going well with my life but I’m not working or studying at the moment.”
Yudania, 46, still maintains Glitter is innocent despite him being convicted for string of sex offences.
She told the newspaper: "Everything they write about him is lies, that’s why he is where he is.
"Many people have come here asking me these questions but they always tell lies so I won’t speak."
The 74-year-old made top hits such as I’m the Leader of the Gang and Do You Wanna Touch Me? and was known for his glam rock tracks in the 70s and 80s.
He reportedly gave Yudania £20,000 – a fortune in Cuba – in 1998 to buy the home she, Gary and her daughter from another relationship live in.
Neighbours have told the newspaper that the shamed star still collects royalties from his music to send cash.
Glitter's songs are believed to be blacklisted on all UK radio stations, but there are stations in the US that still play them – letting him rake in up to £250,000 a year.
It was reported in 2013 he stood to earn £1million in royalties from Oasis track Hello, which uses a sample of his lyrics, and he also made £300,000 after his music featured in the Oscar-nominated trailer for Silver Linings Playbook.
He is also believed to own a flat in London that he rents out.
In 1993, Glitter met Yudania when she was 21 and living in the Cuban countryside town of Sagua La Grande – notorious for bars where children could be bought for as little as £60.
He returned to Cuba after downloading child porn in the UK in 1997 and moved Yudania to Havana.
When he was released after his first conviction in 1999 – which he received four months for downloading 4,000 items of child abuse, including images of kids believed to be as young as two – Glitter reportedly travelled from one sex tourism hotspot to the next.
Glitter fathered his son in Cuba in 2000 and since he turned 18, Yudania is considering to move to the UK to be closer to her convicted lover, according to her pals.
He was jailed in 2015 and is serving his time at HMP The Verne, a Category C jail for sex offenders on the Isle of Portland in Dorset.
