Furious homeowner slams ‘sad little losers’ who compared his £400k 12-bed house to Pontins and brothel – The Sun

THE owner of a 12-bedroom home has slammed the "sad little losers" who claim it looks like a brothel and dubbed it "cheap, tacky and manky."

Terry Hughes, 82, put his home in Huyton, Liverpool, on the market for £400,000 – but has been mocked online by people saying the property looks "worse than Pontins."

Mr Hughes designed and built the house more than 40 years ago – which includes a pool and a party room –  but the property hasn't been received well by people online.

Terry said: "People said it looked like a whorehouse.

"Some said it was worse than Pontins and I've been told about loads of other negative posts on the story."

Among the hundreds of comments left on the Liverpool Echo's Facebook page, one said: "I'd rather sleep in a tent in the garden, it looks absolutely minty."

Another comment said: "Brothel material that…best little whorehouse in Huyton."

One other reviewer added: "It looks like the back of Pontins, cheap, tacky and manky."

Terry told the Liverpool Echo that it was "flattering" to get so many comments but that "surprisingly most was negative input from the people I do not know."

He added: "I'm pretty sure that they know very little of me or my property.

"They can, however, rest assured in the knowledge that the opinions of sad little losers will not bother me when I am laughing all the way to the bank."

Terry, a landlord and property developer, issued the sassy response to the trolls by saying he and his family were more concerned about which of their "multiple their homes" they will move into after the house was sold.

He said: "Will it be my two large villas in Turkey? My Spanish property in La Manga? Or maybe I will just choose one of my other UK properties?

"Decisions, decisions."

The dad also said he would like to thank the people who posted positive comments about his home.

Alongside the 12-bedrooms, Terry's property has two kitchens and four bathrooms.

Each of the bedrooms have their own TV set up and armchairs, or exercise equipment and computer games.

The house also has a private swimming pool and a "recreational party room," along with a large garden and BBQ area.

Up to seven vehicles can fit on the driveway, with a separate car valeting section.

Spread over a plot spanning a third of an acre, the back garden is set out with blue and white borders and a pub-style seating area.
