An exotic fruit platter posted on social media has raised more than a few eyebrows, with many suggesting the arrangement resembled a vagina.  

Christine Kute, who sells the platters through her business Christine’s Exotic Eats, said the vulvic appearance was unintentional. 

The Darwin woman said her design were just ‘innocent fruit platters’.

The platters sold through Christine’s Exotic Eats said the vulvic appearance were unintentional 

‘My design was not intentionally [sic] to look like vaginas but it’s been interpreted as that, but now I can’t un-see it,’ she told NT News.   

Ms Kute’s immediate reaction was to delete her post and redesign her layout when users said her platters.

‘I freaked out for the first couple of messages and I thought I don’t want to be known for this but then I rested on it,’ she said. 

‘I just thought I was being creative but little did I know I was producing one of my own body parts on a platter.’ 

Many stunned users commented on the distinctive design. 

The fruit platters were posted on an online Facebook market and can be ordered in seven different designs 

Stunned users were quick to notice the distinctive appearance of the fruit platters 

‘Anyone wanting a plate of vagina fruit?’ one user wrote. 

‘Beautiful… though they do resemble a lady garden!’ another wrote.   

The fruit platters on sale were posted on ‘BUY, SWAP, SELL, WANTED – DARWIN, NT’ Facebook page. 

Customers can order from seven different designs ranging from $35 to $80 depending on size. 

Ms Kute said she had received ten orders to fill by Christmas Eve. 

She said women were the majority of her customers.
