From lost fortunes to destroyed treasures people are sharing their days from hell and it’ll make you feel much better about your own week

A tweet posted by Rhodi Marsden sparked responses which were not all that positive.

Marsden tweeted: “Throwing away £50 gardening voucher by accident is really annoying. If anyone has thrown away anything more valuable than that, do please let me know, it might make me feel better about my loss.”

The amount of replies this tweet received is overwhelming, with people sharing their worst experiences and mourning them in unity.

One person tweeted back: “My wife put a signed auctioned international rugby shirt through a heavy duty wash as she thought some idiots had written all over it – still have not told her what I paid for it.”

Another wrote: “My mum threw away a lottery ticket that had around a 30,000 win. Took a while to get over that.”

The number of responses drastically grew, doubling the fun and tripling the sadness for some.

Another said: “I once ate a yello Polo mint and when I checked the pack to see if they’d changed the sweets, found a ‘Find the Golden Polo’ banner. It was worth £1000.”

Soon, a lot of other Twitter users joined in on the conversation.

One Twitter user responded to the tweet saying: “It’s not a physical throwing away, but I once booked a week in Barcelona, for me and my then partner, a whole month earlier than we had intended to go.

“Didn’t realise until I got an email from Expedia headed ‘How was Barcelona?’”.
