A Hollywood film director has been banned from driving after police found him drunk and asleep at the wheel.
Stuart Renfrew, 54, admitted downing half a bottle of Malbec red wine before he and his wife set off from their £850,000 Westminster home for her yoga session on October 28.
He dropped her off in Notting Hill and had two more glasses of red wine at a nearby pub before returning to the car to wait for her and falling asleep at the steering wheel.
Officers found him asleep in the car with his two dogs, where they arrested him and took him in for questioning.
Renfrew, who was an assistant director on The Queen, and worked on Game of Thrones, Spooks and Dirty Pretty Things, admitted drink-driving at Westminster Magistrates Court and was given a 17-month driving ban.

Malachy Pakenham, prosecuting, said: ‘Police came across the vehicle protruding into the carriage-way one and half metres from a parking bay.
‘In the vehicle there were two dogs. He was interviewed about the matter and does say he drank half a bottle of red wine in the afternoon on an empty stomach.’
Renfrew was breathalysed at Kensington Police Station and found to have 83 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – more than twice the legal drink drive limit.
