Family of boy, 13, who died 'after taking homemade ecstasy' pay heartbreaking tribute to 'best big brother'

THE heartbroken family of a 13-year-old who died after reportedly taking homemade ecstasy have paid tribute to the "cheeky little boy".

Carson Price was found unconscious in a park in Ystrad Mynach in South Wales, on Friday night, but sadly passed away in hospital.

It has been claimed the teen bought the drug with his pocket money – collapsing seconds after taking the substance.

His devastated family have now released a statement saying: "Carson was bright and caring, kind and loving, he was a cheeky little boy.

"He was the best big brother and was loved and will be missed by so many.”

Cops confirmed today they are linking illegal substances to Carson's tragic death, which is currently being treated as "unexplained".

DRUGS 'PART OF ENQUIRY'

Detective Chief Inspector Sam Payne said, "Although we await official medical confirmation of the cause of death, one of our main lines of enquiry focuses on illegal substances being a contributing factor.

"Specialist officers continue to support Carson's family through this difficult time."

It comes after Carson's distraught mum Tatum paid an emotional tribute yesterday saying her "life is ruined".

She has begged for help in finding the dealer who sold drugs to her teenage son.

'MY LIFE IS RUINED'

The mum said: "Please help find out (who) sold these drugs to my son… my life is ruined my baby gone."

Carson managed to reveal the name of the person who had sold him the drugs before his death, according to the granddad of a witness.

He said: "I was told it was a homemade ecstasy tablet, I don’t suppose the boy knew what was in it.

"It’s just a dreadful thing to happen, he was so young."

Floral tributes have been placed at the park where Carson was discovered as cops carry out a post mortem to establish how he died.

The schoolboy had left school for the Easter Holidays just hours before he visited the park on the outskirts of town.

Chris Parry, his head teacher as Lewis School Pengam, said pupils would be given specialist support.

He added: "It is with immense sadness that today we have heard the terrible news that one of our pupils has tragically passed away.

"Everyone in our school is shocked and devastated by the loss of one of our own.

"I'm sure everyone in our community will join with us in sharing our deepest sympathies with the pupils's friends and family at this awful time."
