GENEVA (Reuters) – The U.S. embassy in Switzerland issued a security alert on Wednesday after reports of an explosion near its consular agency in Geneva, but a spokesman for Geneva police said it was a simple electrical fault and nobody was hurt.
“It was an accident, pure and simple, and there’s no connection to the consulate,” the police spokesman said.
