Dying D-Day veteran desperate to be reunited with treasured medals lost during xmas walk

A DYING D-Day hero aged 91 is begging to be reunited with his precious medals — which loved ones fear he dropped during a Christmas walk.

Nick Rumble is battling for life in hospital after later falling ill.

Relatives fear he has only days to live and yesterday begged anyone who found the five medals, which include France’s Legion d’honneur, to give them back.

Partner Kathleen McDonald said she was at his bedside when he exclaimed: “My medals.”
