Dramatic moment white van driver speeds down street with woman clinging onto bonnet

Footage shows the pedestrian in her 40s shouting "I want my TV back" to the driver before she was mown down.

The van picks up speed as the woman holds onto the bonnet – she can be seen flying into the air as they charge over a speed bump.

The terrifying encounter took place in the Church End and Roundwood area of North West London, known to locals as Church Road.

A Twitter user shared the video yesterday with the caption "Somewhere in church road, north west London" and has been shared almost 1,000 times.

The van driver can be heard beeping the horn at the woman as witnesses to the altercation shout "Get out of the way".

Later in the day he shared a second video with the caption "Looks like she got off safely… eventually".

In the second video she can be seen trying to block the van again, shouting at the driver.

People behind the camera can be heard to say "she said they took her TV".

The van driver moves off at speed and manages to swerve away from the woman.

Meanwhile pedestrians, including a woman with a child, shout for the van to stop.

The Metropolitan police said: "There were reports of a disturbance on Church Road on Tuesday.

"A woman in her 40s reported that a vehicle was driven into her and accused the driver of attempted GBH. No arrest was made."
