Devastated mums who had babies delivered by Samantha Eastwood pay tribute to 'caring' midwife after body found

The tributes came as the brother-in-law of her ex-fiancé was charged with her murder.

According to the Daily Mirror, heartbroken Sophie Oakes wrote in tribute: "Thank you for everything you did during my labour.

"You held my hand through it all. I couldn’t [have] had a more down-to-earth, caring and devoted midwife.”

Sophie Roberts added: “There are no words to describe how thankful I am for your help, you made my room feel ever so calm with your loving nature.”

And Claire Turner said: “I’ll never forget you, Sam. You looked after me through the most difficult time of my life, only a few weeks ago"

Police were probing claims that Michael Stirling, 32, fell out with the Samantha, 28, whose body was found near Stoke.

He was arrested along with his 60-year-old father Stephen, who is being quizzed for possibly assisting an offender.

A body found on wasteland on Saturday was confirmed to be Samantha’s yesterday morning.
