Delta passengers sue for $2 million after drunk passenger from Connecticut ‘groped 16-year-old girl and her mom’ on flight to Athens

Delta Air Lines is being sued for $2million after a 16-year-old girl and her mother were allegedly groped by a drunk passenger who had downed at least 10 vodkas and a glass of wine.
The lawsuit states that the sexual assault took place on a long haul flight out of New York’s JFK as the mother and daughter were on their way to Athens for a vacation.
Despite the pair pleading with Delta flight attendants for them to stop serving the man more booze, the two claim they were ‘blatantly ignored’.
Upon arriving in Greece, they further alleged that the drunk man was simply allowed to walk freely off the plane rather than be taken into custody by Greek police.
The mom and her daughter claim flight attendants continued to serve their abuser vodka, even though he was already considerably drunk.
In a statement to DailyMail.com, a Delta spokesperson said: ‘While we don’t have any specific comment on this pending litigation, Delta has zero tolerance for customers who engage in inappropriate or unlawful behavior. Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and our people.’

The man, who continued to drink 10 vodkas is alleged to have placed his hands on the teen’s back, touched the girl’s leg and tried to unpick her bra strap before moving onto her mother
The suit said the man ‘frightened’ the teen as he placed his hands on her back, and ‘made obscene gestures’ while screaming and demanding that she reveal her address to him, together with other personal information.
The man ‘did not care that the girl was a minor and underage,’ it added.
After the girl’s mother complained to a flight attendant on board, she was dismissed by the airline representative who simply told her to ‘be patient’.
The man eventually got up from his seat to use the bathroom and ‘loudly puked’ yet, upon returning the teen and her mom were dismayed to find flight staff had continued to serve him yet more booze, as he returned with a glass of wine.
Rather than move the man away from the pair, who were distressed by his behavior, a flight attendant is alleged to have told him to ‘stop talking.’
This only enraged the man further resulting in a profanity laden, rant from the drunkard who called the mother and her daughter ‘f***ing bitches.’

It may come as no surprise that the teenage girl then had a panic attack and put her head in her mum’s lap for comfort ‘only to feel the intoxicated, Delta passenger’s clammy fingers underneath her shirt, climbing up her back, fingering her bra strap and moving over her body’, according to the lawsuit which is seeking $2 million in damages.
This caused the girl jumped out of her seat and burst into tears according to the lawsuit seen by the New York Post.
The man is finally alleged to have moved onto the mother putting his hands on her leg before she too screamed at him to stop what he was doing, while jumping out of her seat.
Once again, the mother pleaded for Delta flight attendants to intervene and contact the police upon landing, but she was roundly dismissed and also told to ‘calm down and think about it’.
Eventually the victims were allowed to switch seats for the remainder of the journey to Athens.
When the plane finally landed the flight attendants offered a paltry 5,000 airline miles by means of an apology.
By means of comparison, a round-trip domestic ticket in the United States usually starts at around 25,000 miles.
Delta are not commenting on the lawsuit but say they have ‘zero tolerance for customers who engage in inappropriate or unlawful behavior’.
