Maria Sofia Angulo Nava is a one-and-a-half-year-old from Sonora, Mexico, and both her mother, Christina, and father, Jonathan, are deaf.

Maria’s grandmother, Lupita Padilla, said: ‘She didn’t really tell him anything particular, she only knows a few words in sign language.
