The stunning snap, taken at an Alaska waterfall, won top prize in an international contest for wildlife photographer Nick Dale. He also scooped second with his picture of a dust-throwing elephant in Botswana. Nick, of Putney, South West London, right, said: “The annual salmon migration is a buffet for bears.”
