Dad finds toddler dead inside clothes dryer the day after his third birthday

A toddler was found dead inside a clothes dryer at home the day after his third birthday.

Brantley Lloyd was found by his father Chet, who said he woke up to find the boy had climbed out of his cot and into the dryer at their home in Virginia, US.

The dad phoned the emergency services to report that his son was not breathing, the New York Post reports.

He then reportedly called Brantley’s mum, Amanda Ray, to tell her to come straight away.

When she arrived at the house, police were already at the scene of the August 7 tragedy.

Amanda told the NY Post: “It doesn’t make sense to me. Nothing is adding up.

"I don’t understand how my baby was in a dryer. I don’t understand how he died.”

Brantley had been living with his dad for about a year and a half.

Chet said that his little boy had been in a ‘bad mood’ before the day he died, and didn’t seem himself, reports claimed.
