Coronavirus claims lives of two people in their 70s in Florida bringing US death toll to 17 – The Sun

TWO people in their 70s have died from the coronavirus in Florida, raising the death toll from the outbreak to 17 in the US.

The two elderly patients had traveled overseas, according to the Florida Department of Health.

At least one of them had underlying health issues.

Florida on Friday also raised the number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 from four to seven.

There have been 14 coronavirus deaths in Washington state, and the other fatality came in California.

It was previously announced that five Florida residents who had been traveling in China have also been quarantined elsewhere after testing positive.
