A determined cat caused a stair gate to come crashing to the ground when she attempted to jump over it in hilarious footage.
The clip, filmed in Adelaide, Australia, captures the Persian cat as she tries to climb over a white metal gate which had been installed in a doorway.
But as ten-year-old Prudence attempts to make the leap, she stumbles and clings on to the top of the gate which then swings forward on impact.

The gate then slips out of its position in the doorway and crashes to the ground on top of the tabby cat.
The baffled Persian bolts out of the way of the fallen gate as it slams shut on its side.
Adam Stanley, 36, who captured the clip, said Prudence is ‘normally very graceful when she jumps’ the gate but for some reason was unable to make the leap this time.
‘She’s normally very graceful when she jumps it but for some reason failed hard this time,’ he said. ‘I’ve never laughed so much.’
