A caretaker has been arrested after the 92-year-old man he had looked after for 20 years was found dead in a motel room with ‘multiple blunt force trauma injuries’.
Caretaker Clark Stone, 64, from Lathrop, California, was arrested on Friday November 20 and taken to San Joaquin County Jail in association with the murder.
Tracy Police Department received a call at 8pm on November 18 of a man not breathing in a motel room in the 3800 block of North Tracy Boulevard.
JC Williams Jr. was found unresponsive and was later pronounced dead after further investigation uncovered multiple blunt force trauma injuries were believed to be fatal, according to police.
Stone was taken to the San Joaquin County Jail and charged with inflicting great bodily injury upon another during the commission of a felony, elder abuse for unjustifiable pain/suffering and elder abuse for great bodily harm.
He had worked for Mr Williams as his caretaker for 20 years and they had lived in both Alameda and San Joaquin County in California.
