BRITISH expats and EU migrants have been stopped from voting in Euro elections today thanks to poll blunders.
EU citizens have complained of chaos today as they were turned away from polling stations and didn't get their postal votes in time.
Hundreds have taken to social media to share their tales of being denied their vote.
EU citizens can technically vote in the UK or in their home country – but if they want to cast a ballot here they have to send off a certain form beforehand.
But as Theresa May said repeatedly that Britain wouldn't have to take part in the elections, many councils and organisations were completely unprepared.
Some said they sent off their forms and the council didn't receive them.
One said on Twitter they were told they had to vote in their EU member state.
Some said their names had been crossed out on the register when they got to the polling stations.
Voters can still show up and vote – even if they've not been sent a polling card, or they didn't bring it with them.
Immigration and human rights barrister Agata Patnya, who has been in the UK since 2005, tweeted: "Turned away from polling station this morning. Told I should vote in my EU member state. Called local council yesterday, they confirmed I could vote. Called again today. Apparently council had no time to send out forms to all EU residents. Nothing they can do now."
Another said: "Early morning visit to cast my vote only to have it disenfranchised because my declaration that I wouldn’t be voting in Sweden (my country of citizenship) hadn’t been processed in time."
MP Davis Lammy said it was "ugly discrimination" that EU citizens had to fill out extra paperwork to be able to vote in Britain.
And Tulip Siddiq said she was "furious" about the number of complaints she'd had from people in her area.
Campaigners have made formal complaints to the Electoral Commission over the chaos.
The Electoral Commission say they wrote to councils urging them to send out the registration forms even before the PM confirmed we would be taking part in the ballot.
