Brit dad, 73, drowned on family holiday to Turkey minutes after wife left him on beach & went back to hotel | The Sun

A BRIT dad has drowned while on a family holiday to Turkey minutes after his wife left him on the beach and went back to the hotel.

Philip Terrence Jarvis, 73, from Wales, went for a swim in the sea while at a holiday resort in Antalya.

The pensioner decided to go on a walk and take a dip before the tragedy unfolded in September last year.

His wife didn't see him for around 30 minutes and assumed they would meet back at the hotel.

Shortly after, the couple's son saw ambulances on the beach.

An inquest heard Phillip was found "unresponsive and motionless".
