Brit arrested for wearing bikini in Maldives appeared on TV shows First Dates and Ninja Warrior UK – The Sun

A BRIT arrested for wearing a bikini in the Maldives has appeared on TV shows First Dates and Ninja Warrior UK.

Cecilia Jastrzembska, 26, was filmed yelling: “You’re sexually assaulting me” as she was manhandled by three male cops on the island of Maafushi.

Maldives police apologised and the “travel blogger” was released after spending an hour and a half in custody on Thursday.

It is illegal to wear a bikini on Maafushi except on designated beaches due to the Maldives’ strict Muslim Sharia Law.

Cecilia, who describes herself as a parliamentary adviser at the House of Commons, stunned viewers of Channel 4’s First Dates in 2018 after refusing to let her date pay the bill.

Later that year she attempted the assault course on ITV’s Ninja Warrior UK.

Cecilia and friend Lucas Ramos checked into a £40-a- night guest house on Maafushi last Monday, paying up front for six nights, islanders said.

They were due to check out today but left on Friday, less than 24 hours after she was arrested, hotel sources said.

MANHANDLED

There are two “bikini beaches” on the island where tourists can strip to the swimwear without breaking the law.

But visitors are banned from wearing bikinis in local areas in the middle of the half-a-mile long island.

Cecilia was arrested after walking down a local street in her bikini past a mosque and a school.

Fresh footage showed the extent of the altercation with police before she was manhandled.

She is heard shouting: “Anyone who gets in my personal space I’m going to have a problem with.”

Her male friend who tries to cover her with a towel is heard saying: “She will not go with you.”

She was filmed grabbing a cop’s sunglasses from his head and walking away.

Londoner Cecilia earlier posted photos on Facebook of her swimming with a whale shark and posing on a beach in a red bikini.
