The owner of a ‘death-row’ alpaca lost her High Court fight to save him yesterday.

Helen MacDonald took legal action against the Government after Geronimo tested positive for bovine tuberculosis in 2017.

Veterinary nurse Miss MacDonald, 47, claims the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs was ‘relying doggedly on flawed science’.

Six-year-old Geronimo was brought to the UK from New Zealand in August 2017 and has been in isolation since.

Earlier this year, Miss MacDonald crowd-funded £10,000 in legal fees to have her appeal heard.

Miss MacDonald, of Wickwar, Gloucestershire, said: ‘I’m all over the place.’
