Adrenaline junkie walks 2,500 metres along a narrow slackline for more than THREE HOURS above mountains, trees and a Norwegian lake

This amazing footage shows the moment one daredevil attempted to complete a perilous 2800 metre (2.8km) slack line over a lake.

Quirin Herterich, 24, kept his nerve throughout the grueling challenge that he finished in just three hours and five minutes.

In the incredible video, recorded by photographer Cara Urban, Mr Herterich can be seen balancing on the thin line.

Completely undaunted by the colossal length of his walk, the project engineer from Germany expertly made it across lake Svartholvatnet, barely wobbling.

Mr Herterich said: ‘I see the challenge as a game, the longer the line, the more complicated the game becomes.’

As he approaches the end of the line, the daredevil drops to the rope and spins himself round on it.

When he’s back on solid ground the elated stunt man can be heard saying ‘yes’ and smiling as he embraces as a supporter.

He gives him a high five, clearly pleased with his achievement. 

Mr Herterich said: ‘It was definitely like an ‘all in’ poker game with no second chance. 

Mr Herterich, who is from Germany, said: ‘After the first 100m Meters I was able to get into a flow like I rarely experienced it before and enjoyed my walk a lot’

Towards the end of his mission the expert can be seen wobbling slightly, but managing to pull himself back into balance, remaining on the slack line

Mr Herterich said: ‘The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. In the beginning of the line I walked mainly over trees and moss and was able to see the huge Peaks that surround the spot’

Supporters were waiting at the finish point to greet the slackliner. In the amazing footage he can be seen embracing one of them and smiling at his incredible achievement 

‘After the first 100m Meters I was able to get into a flow like I rarely experienced it before and enjoyed my walk a lot. 

‘I lost every feeling of time and my body just worked perfectly.

‘The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. In the beginning of the line I walked mainly over trees and moss and was able to see the huge Peaks that surround the spot.

‘The last part of my walk brought me over a huge 150m high and massive looking rockface, where the slackline was anchored.’

Mr Herterich is no stranger to slacklining and has completed challenges in Albania, Germany, Switzerland and Croatia.
