When he stopped the car to find out what had happened he opened the back door discovered a laughing Scarlet who was covered in chocolate

Scarlett had covered herself in chocolate from a treat Adam gave her which she was still holding

The cheeky youngster had covered herself in chocolate from a treat Adam gave her which she was still holding.

Adam, of Wisconsin, USA, then spoke to the camera, saying: ‘Parents these are great little treats for kids as well as adults but beware it can cause mass messyness as you can see.’

Afterwards Adam, 34, said: ‘I was traveling with Scarlett, looking for a lost dog in the neighborhood. She got very quiet in the back and I thought she may have been sleeping. I looked through the rear-view mirror and the first thing I thought of was Braveheart. I went around the side of the van and saw this

‘Scarlett is a goofball and she does stuff like this all the time. She is insatiably curious and is always exploring. She is as fast as lightning, so it is difficult to keep up with her. Her younger sister, Sabrina, is not far behind. Scarlett is teaching Sabrina her ways.

‘After I discovered the mess, I wiped her down with a series of about 20 baby wipes. The chocolate was on the car seat, inside the car, and on her puffy pink vest. All of this took place in our hometown in the Midwest. I am a local photographer who has lots of friends around this town. I shared it with them and they absolutely loved it.

‘My wife was at home with Sabrina at the time. I came home and told her what happened. She was not surprised that Scarlett pulled something like that and we got a good laugh out of our video. We shared it with our family and friends.’
